11th Photographic Group
Constituted as 11th Photographic Group (Mapping) on 19 Nov
1943. Activated on 1 Dec 1943. Engaged in photographic mapping in the
US and sent detachments to carry out similar operations in Africa, the
CBI theater, the Near and Middle East, Mexico, Canada, Alaska, and the
Caribbean. Used B-17, B-24, B-25, B-29, F-2, F-9, F-10, and A-20
aircraft. Disbanded on 5 Oct 1944.
