Constituted as 60th Troop Carrier Wing on 5 Jun 1943 and activated on 12 Jun. Assigned to I Troop Carrier Command. Trained groups and glider crews and participated in several airborne maneuvers. Inactivated on 8 Oct 1945.
Redesignated 60th Fighter Wing. Allotted to ANG (Wash) on 24 May 1946. Extended federal recognition on 19 Apr 1948. Inactivated on 31 Oct 1950.

We accept electronic/scans or originals of pictures and paper records. A General Order could be an award document that contains information on many servicemen. Special Orders may contain transfers or other information. Flight records, accident reports, maintenance logs, after action reports, pilot encounter reports, diaries and biorgraphies; all of these types of documents help us support or mission: preserving your history!
