Next Steps: Lieutenant Colonel Andrews was a member of the 433rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, Ubon Airfield, Thailand. On October 5, 1966, he was the pilot of a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4C) on a strike mission over North Vietnam. His aircraft was in Nghia Lo Province about 40 miles east-northeast of Na San when it was hit by a MiG, and he safely parachuted to the ground but was wounded. His remains were recovered on September 13, 1990 and identified on December 11, 1990. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. **
