Next Steps: Captain Beeson was the pilot of a B-26B Invader bomber with the 13th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Wing. On December 19, 1951, while on a night intruder mission, the last contact from the aircraft reported its arrival in the target area. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. ** Captain Beeson was awarded the Air Medal, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
