Next Steps: Captain Bergevin was a member of the 14th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, Udorn Air Force Base, Thailand. On August 23, 1968, he was the navigator of a McDonnell Phantom II Reconnaissance Fighter (RF-4C) on a low altitude night reconnaissance mission about 50 miles northwest of Dong Hoi, Quang Binh, North Vietnam, when contact was lost. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. **
