PLEASE SUPPORT THE ARMY AIR CORPS MUSEUM! [MORE]

The Army Air Corps Library and Museum has a couple of currently running projects. The first concerns our digital honor roll. We have many General Orders that contain awards to the men of the Air Corps. Our volunteers are transcribing these awards into a spreadsheet that we then import to the website. Thus far we have transcribed and listed thousands of servicemen and the group where they were assigned.
We also have unit histories and individual diaries and combat reports that can be transcribed.
Genealogists will welcome the data we have generated via our honor roll project as we have provided an index of men grouped by the city and state of their enlistment.
We are also archiving all materials that are donated to us. With this we are scanning all paper materials including documents and photos. The goal of this project is to place all materials onto the website making this history available to all researchers and enthusiasts.
We welcome databases of airplanes/tail number/nose art and unit rosters with service numbers.
If you are interested in volunteering to help us with any of our projects, we would be happy to have your assistance.
Do you have WWII memorabilia that you are not sure what to do with it? The children don't want it? Then let us help you preserve this history by donating these items to the Army Air Corps Library and Museum. We are accepting donations in the form of uniforms, medals, ribbons, patches, photos, memorabilia, papers, gear and equipment. We also accept monetary donations to support our operations and long term plans. This website is part of the Army Air Corps Library and Museum, and as a 501(c)(3) Non-profit, your qualifying donations are tax deductible.

Historical Artifacts: We are looking for photos, documents and other types of artifacts including uniforms, medals, insignia, gear, manuals, and training material. We accept electronic/scans or originals of pictures and paper records. A General Order could be an award document that contains information on many servicemen. Special Orders may contain transfers or other information. Flight records, accident reports, maintenance logs, after action reports, pilot encounter reports, diaries and biorgraphies; all of these types of documents help us support or mission: preserving your history!
